When Martin Massie and his sister Hilda move onto the Bluebell Hill Development, they find their suburban dream is threatened by petty crime and vandalism. With the help of a motley assortment of neighbours, and the firm belief that the forces of law and order – and indeed God himself – is on their side, they decide to take action. But the dangers of taking the law into your hands soon become apparent, as events spiral out of control, with darkly hilarious consequences.
